summer ride on Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Had to go see if the steroids my Doc gave me helped with the bad neck pain I have been experiencing when riding more than an hour or two. Did 250 miles or so, very nice cool riding up at 6,000 ft. on an overcast day.

Nice I miss the Blue Ridge. Might get down there this fall.

Glad the meds are helping.

It doesn't matter what I ride, where I ride, how fast I ride, or how far I ride... it only matters THAT I RIDE...EVERY DAY. "Ferret"

It was better than the last couple if times I rode 6-8 hours in a day, {at least this time when I got home I was glad I went}. But I had not taken the full cycle of Prednisone at the time of the ride, and I am hoping it will be even better the next time I ride.

Phil -
just curious, have you tried chiropractic relief?
I go once a month and it helps quite a bit with flexibility and pain.
Good luck either way - good to hear you're back on the bike.

I lost what little faith I had in Chiropracty when I had a serious back problem when in my 30's . I used to walk INTO the office and crawl OUT. After taking my money for a while the guy finally referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who operated and removed the disc material that had been pinched off and was impinging on my spinal cord.

Still, I have lots of friends and family who swear they couldn't get along without theirs.

The whole concept of "adjusting" those bones in the spine held in place by dozens of muscles strains my credulity, but it's hard to discount all that anecdotal evidence.

Thanks for the advice, and I will ask my friends if they recommend someone, though, in the present situation, I don't have much social interaction with anyone. LOL

Luca, you LIVE on the Cherahola Skyway?? Now that's some zip code there. LOL

Hear you Phil..... more effective (to me) is a good physiotherapist and ortho guy. The "adjustment" thing to me is not much more than a glorified massage.
