Reverting back to stock bar height. Help!

Hello Gang

Bought a 2006 FJR and it came with the 1 inch bar riser kit. I did a 500 KM ride on Sunday and I was surprised how sore my elbows became after a couple of hours. I am 5'6 so I'm thinking the reach up is too high, the dilemma is that I tried to remove the bar only to find I need stock parts to revert the position. Local bike store is trying to rape and pillage as usual!
Any suggestions?

Double check the model for your year but they should be the same.
