Only a short ride home so far which was mostly highway. Wow, awesome advances since the old Gen 1. Very pleased with the ride. Iíll get her out for some miles and photos this weekend. Guess the old Gen 1 will be going up for sale. Then the farkling begins. Woohoo!

Congratulations Eric! The 2015 ES I had was among the finest motorcycles I ever owned. I'm jealous.

I see you took the newer bike route. Congratulations and hope you enjoy.

Spend some time learning the suspension settings on the ES. I was not shopping for an ES model but found my 14 with ES at such a good deal just couldn't pass it up. Being able to switch on the fly is just a wonderful option and once you find the preferred settings for soft, std, and hard I think you will be glad you got the newer model.

Cruise is nice and putting LED bulbs in the headlights makes a difference that is worthwhile, assuming you get some of the later versions with proper deflectors built into the bulb.

Sargent seats work for me but lots of people on here swear by the Laam and RDL. They didn't work for me but everyone's backside is different. I like the forward lean as it relieves back pressure for me anyway.

Enjoy the new to you ride. Thinking you will really like it and start putting some long rides together very soon.

I bought a '15A in 2016 or 2017 and sold my 2005 (with 83K care free miles!) shortly thereafter. I concur with your "awesome advances since the old Gen 1." For me, I felt like I was riding on air! I could hardly believe the improvements (again, this is just the A model!).

I'm just thrilled with my '15 and sounds like you feel the same. I couldn't even imagine what our fellow riders who have later models must say! Sincere congrats! I am really happy for you! Pics please! :-)
