stock exhaust gen 1,2,3

Cant seem to find the answer by searching, do all gen stock exhausts fit every year? The 05 I recently purchased has a small zing in the right pipe that bugs the crap out of me and although I can find used ones on eBay and such all the old ones seem to have a bit of damage. There are local ones off of much newer bikes that appear to be perfect, just want to make sure they'll fit. Thanks

I am going to say not sure, but may.... at least the aftermarket ones do, but usually they have moveable clamps. The newer ones may have a different appearance of the rear end. One could verify, position of mounting bracket to forward end of mid-pipe... Gen2/3 have a slightly longer swingarm, and a 30mm longer wheelbase than Gen1. I don't have a set of pipes in front of me so can't measure.

I've got GEN2 OEM cans on my '05... they fit perfectly.
My original cans had been modified by they previous owner ("trooper mod") and sounded like shi* so I chucked them and got another pair from a forum member.
It's been so long that I don't even recall what I paid for them.... but they were like new and from a GEN2 bike.

Dan has a 2014 Gen III with Gen I mufflers (saving the new one's when he sells it) so yes they will fit the holes surrounding the exhaust outlet is different, slots vs holes.
