Any gotchas on an 2009?

I am about to trade up from an 05 gen I to an 08. Anything I should be aware of on the 08,s before I pull the trigger?

Negatives, A little heavier than your Gen. 1, a little slower {lower numerically overall drive ratio}, a little harder to wheelie, {longer swingarm, lower drive ratio} Possibility of a Spider Bite. a narrower rear seat {they moved the luggage closer together, and took and inch or so out of the rear seat} , a little less maneuverable, {longer swingarm} Color {black}

Positives. Much cooler running, {air management, better tank insulation}
better gas mileage [for most], a little narrower {moved luggage closer together} 08 comes with upgraded CCT. Gear indicator, two-position seat, Gen. 2 seems to sit a little higher, less dragging of pegs {maybe just my opinion} Adjustable handlebars, wings that open up to protect your legs from cold winter winds. Shifts slightly better, [reconfigured tranny]. Less abrupt throttle than 06 and 07. New ABS and linked brakes, [wheels fit only 08 and later].

Enough, my brain hurts.

My '09 was the first fuel-injected Yamaha I'd ever ridden that had satisfactory fueling and low-opening response and control.
Plus, it's a beautiful black color, which has proven to be the best color for the FJR yet.

The '08 was the better black one. It still had silver wheels instead of the **** satin black ones.
