Paint Repairs

Just recently dropped my 2012 FJR after parking on uneven pavement on the side of the highway. Long story short, I quickly racked up about $2000.00 in damages: right side mirror, lower cowling, windshield, side case, top case, brake pedal, and Clearwater Darla light bracket and bezel, all suffered significant rash. So before I start replacing plastic, I ordered the 3stage paint from Colorite (code DPBMU) to see if I can get a decent match. I did three color tests and all are coming out really dark. I have done the following test coats:
1 base coat, 1 top/mid coat, and 2 clear coats
2 base coats, 1 top/mid coat, and 2 clear coats
2 base coats, 2 top/mid coats, and 2 clear coats

The product calls for 2 base coats, 1 top/mid coat, and no more than 3 clear coats.

Has anyone had any luck in matching the factory paint through Colorite?

I have had mixed results with Colorrite paint especially Cobalt blue. You should have posted this question before you spent alllll that money on Colorrite paint. Kia Deep Ocean Blue code 6K is a closer match IMHO and there is no mid coat.

Thank you. I will give that a try and report back with results.
