Wheel Repair
I have a friend that has a 2006 AE model and 3 weeks ago I put tapered head bearings in and a fork flush. Since then he hit something that bent the front wheel lip outward and a slight flat spot in the rim. Pulled the wheel and got out the short handled sledge with a thick pc of plastic and commenced to whoppen. After about 20 minutes and another pc of plastic it was not looking to bad. Put it on the balancer after pulling 6 sticky weights off and 4 back on in a different area then a test ride. He rode and I followed (at the posted speed limit) and off he went. He was gone so I went home. He lives 50 miles from me so he called and said before he had a problem holding the bars at 100 but now uo to 130 indicated all is good. He got lucky with a cheap n easy fix.
He is a 75 year old retired OTR truck driver.
