Dang I am getting old

Friend of mine has a 2006 AE with 50,000 miles that he wanted to get some maintainence done on. He is a 75 year old retired trck driver that still teaches at truck driving school. I started at 9:30 am and finished at 3:30 pm putting in tapered head bearings, changing fork oil and front wheel bearings / seals. I bought a couple tools to make the job easier so well worth the money and cut down on time. Downfall is I am an aging fat guy that does not do this for a living and my body still hurts everywhere so I have to try to not make this a habit. Today is a I am not going to do a **** thing day.

I realized I was getting old when I noticed that Playboy's Playmate of the Month was born after I graduated from high school (1964).

Time spent looking at motorcycles, even Harleys, is never wasted.

1964, year before I graduated(high school). I know what the OP is feeling though. While I still do my own maintenance and add ons. I don't try to do it all in one day. No siree, with three to maintain, I do a little at a time until the mission is accomplished.

I'm older than you ReRose, but best thing I ever got was a good lift table. Best just set a medium pace and don't get in a hurry, and don't forget the afternoon nap. I try not to think about having to give this all up one day.

Says he forgot he even borrowed it. Yesterday.

If you didn't follow me on rides, you'd be lost, never get out to ride, AND you'd still be old.

In life, it all moves up. When you're 20, it's between your legs. When you're 50, it's between your ears (or it should be).

At 70 I get along just about like I always did. I just do it differently.

I am 70 years old and when my old boss invited me to his house in the Keys to dive opening Lobster season I told him I would love to come but might not be up to diving much, but I could always drive the boat. When I got here {we are on the third day of the season now} I found out his 82-year-old father is diving with us and I feel positively young. LOL

Dove all day both days, carried tanks and batteries for scooters and large coolers full of lobsters {loading and unloading the boat and getting tanks filled and selling the lobsters is the hardest part} and though I have slept like a zombie at night, I still feel good about diving for a few more days.

Maybe I just need to get up off the couch and EXERCISE and I wouldn't feel so dang tired all the time. LOL

I do need to manage the sunscreen better.
