Coming back to an FJR. Or just being nostalgic

swapped my 05 couple years ago for a Dyna. Last week I totaled that beautiful HD beast, So here I am nursing a sore shoulder, browsing Craigslist looking @ FJR's and not really finding many on the secondary market. Anyways, if I come across 2009,2010 or so for a good price 'to me' what should I look out for. Any known issues.

Everything sorted out by 08.

Gen. 1 heat issues, better.

06,07 throttle abruptness issues better.

06 and up Gen. 2's have a grounding problem which can cause short term weird electric problems, nicknamed "spider" bites on this forum.

You might google FJR spider bites, to familiarize yourself with the problem IF you purchase a Gen. 2.

You are already familiar with the myriad relationship problems exacerbated by our needing to go "find ourselves" on the weekends.

. . . .
This ^. I too had an '05 and the heat was uncomfortable. But, kept it for 11 years anyway. My '15 A model is more than I could have asked for.

Speedy recovery!

Perhaps check the FaceSpace marketplace ?? It's where I found my recent '07, as the local C/L yielded hardly any FJR's.
