Tank Pads. I bought a TechSpec Snake Skin set. Simple application. About $65. Incredible performance enhancement. No more sliding forward or backward, no more sliding to the sides. No more sore legs from squeezing the tank. Knees were not playing much of a roll in my turns, stops and starts until these pads.

SO much more fun to ride. I am one with my Gita.

YodiYami,

If you switch to Pirelli Angel GT tires, you could have one more epiphany.
All IMHO, of course.

Red,

the Pirelli's look good in the corners, grip-wise and long lasting.. Are we going to get your review? I'm my first

day with the tank skins, probly raise the Michelin P4's wear bar before the Angels... or is that Demon Tires!?, but the

PA GT's price is right at 2 bills. Thanks for the info!

YodiYami,

Life is too short (and might get shorter) to ride on lousy parade-duty tires. I will never again choose tires by price. If I can't get the Angel GTs when the day comes for new tires here, then I will try whatever Pirelli makes as the replacements. I really can't give a fair review here. I have only had Michelins and Pirellis on the bike since I got it, but the difference was really amazing, far beyond the normal improved feel of getting "new tires" on a bike. These Angel GT tires were like getting a whole new bike under me.

I run Pirelli Sport Demons on my 1985 FJ1100, because they come in 16" sizes and they are righteous rubber, also.

The tire manufacturers seem to put a new tread pattern or minor change, call it new and of course, raise the price... RS II becomes RS III, PR4 becomes a Road5, Angel GT becomes Angel GT II.....
@red , next set of skins I may have an epiphany, only have to decide if I want the single compound Angel GT front or a dual compound (Z6).

RaYzerman,

Well, don't quote me, but I believe I read in some review that the Angel GTs are dual-compound tires.
Maybe somebody here can say for sure; if not, I'll just ask Pirelli directly.

The rear is dual compound, the front isn’t..

red, I let Bob quote you instead..... Pirelli site says rear is dual compound, which I like.

red,

I just thought it was a good price compared to the P4's, not basing a purchase on a price at all: It's valuable if it does the work. Angel GT's have been ordered. Life IS too short and one can't do it all, but I can try to do most of something. Feel free to share any other epiphanies.
