Access to the two older databases.

Hi everybody.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to access an article I've seen a year or two ago on the technical description of what happens to the valves during combustion, & whether the clearance increases or decreases.

I can't find the link to the old FJR databases.

Cheers in advance. Gainsy.

Its a balance. If the valve seats wear faster than the valve drive gear (cams etc) then the valve shifts slightly up the valve stem and the running clearances close up altering the valve timing (more duration). If the valve drive gear wears faster, then the running clearances open up altering valve timing again (less duration).
