Hello,
Just got this new, left over, last week in the Denver area and love the bikes. While ive owned many, many bikes this is one of my favorite. Ill use it for my fun sport tourer and grocery getter, Not sure what im going to do with my 2010 BMW r1200r now. Oh and am I the only one that didnt know that in cruise control, if you roll the throttle a little past stop it will turn off cruise? I think I like that better than using the brakes.
Anyway so far some great info on this site.
Joe
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new FJR!!! It's a great bike, I'm just wondering how far your groceries are; if THIS is your grocery getter...I'd hate to know what your REAL bike is. LOL :grin2:
Congrats on the acquisition! One friendly piece of advice- take the time to actually RTFM. Little gems like the throttle thing might actually be contained within!*

* I have an old POS gen2 without cruise control so I can't say definitively that such information is contained within any "FM" you may (or may not) choose to "R". Hence the word "might" in my statement above.
Yep, had it 1 year, loved the power, the looks, almost everything. But not the comfort or the usability.
And I know ill get more power out of the fjr1300, easier and funnier to ride.
When I first saw a picture of the matte blue '19 I didn't like it but over time I've come to really like it almost as much as the '14 red. I've never actually seen either bike accept in pictures. It would be hard to choose between the red and blue both beauties.
James, it should be an easy choice as the 14 red IS the very fastest color ! Ya know 😜
Don't know what it is today on this site only but won't let me open any photo's, wants me to "log In" even though it shows me as logged in at the top ribbon, and still won't open the photo's even if I re-log in, no matter how many times. Been a problem only on this site for some time now !
My buddie has a zx14 that he added Speigler bar risers, a custom seat along with bags & a top box and also had it dyno tuned to over 200rwhp, was quite a nice sport tourer that literally scared the crap out of him. Very nice, smooth running bikes & once the ergonomics are good the only downside is the chain.
Spiegler bar kit on my 2007 ZX-14. Muzzy M series 4/2/1 exhaust, ram air box mod, secondary throttle body "Flies" out, Ivan's T.R.E. Muzzy crank timing advancer, PC3 custom mapped 178 RWHP at D&D Performance Exhaust. Super Flow Eddy Current rear wheel dyno at 740 ft above sea level on a hot 98 degree Texas summer day.
Welcome joesedroid, from West Virginia. I too own a matte blue '19 FJR. I can highly recommend getting some engine and saddlebag guards for it. I put T-Rex on mine after dropping it in gravel. I'm just waiting on Spring so I can jump back on it. Oh, check with your dealer about a recalls. I had two of them. One for second gear and one for a turn signal switch. Happy riding.
I’ll add that I really like the Kawi/Lawson green with the black on the zx14, they had that same color combo on the C14 a few years ago, and if they’d had cruise on the c14’s I’d probably be riding one of those because we were in a really bad period with my 14a fastestcolor red fjr at that time. Truely though the zx14 is probably a better ergonomic fit than the c14.
As a side note one of the things I really dislike about Kawasaki’s is that they have the fugliest mufflers that anyone has ever put on a motorcycle ! Yamaha did a great job integrating the exhaust into the lines of the fjr rather than looking like an afterthought like the Kawi’s. Imho.
