New FJR owner here as of today

Hi everybody.

Richard from Alberta Canada here and happy new owner of a used 2016 FJR1300 with 27000kms on it. Bike came with full service history. One owner and dealer serviced with oil changes and new tires. Bike also came with 2 other seats as well as the Corbin that is on it now and a shorter windshield. I had a 2017 KTM Super Adventure R and so happy to get rid of that as I was having so many issues with electronics with the bike. Back to a nice reliable bike from Yamaha for me. This is my 3rd Yamaha. I've had an R1, FZ1 and now the FJR1300. See the trend as I got older! lol

Can't wait for the snow to go and get out onto the hwy!

Hope to learn lots about my new bike.

Thanks!

Alberta, Canada. Isn't that where my fav author Jordan Peterson is from? Anyway, welcome to the forum. A rather tame place here, compared to some other places. LOL

Thanks Everyone!

I'm not sure. I took the photo shorty after I bought the bike and they were sitting in the delivery room. They look pretty cool!

It's really to bad that it is now snowy and winter here now as I still have to have the bike delivered to my house and I haven't even rode it yet. From what I have been reading from reviews the bike is super smooth and super fast. A great bike at just about everything. I'm so looking forward to it 5 months from now!

Welcome to the forum and nice choice on the machine, you're gonna love it! Weren't the FZ1's awesome bikes though? I had a gen 1 way back when they first came out, then a gen 2, and a brief 2 year stint on a VFR1200 before I saw the light and got my FJR (2015ES) for touring duty....still have my R1 though !

I agree the FZ1 was a fantastic bike. My very first bike was the R1 and what I took my driver test on. lol Loved it, but it was hard to ride after about 2 hours on the road to the FZ1 was after. I'm really looking forward to trying the new FJR in the spring. when I started it in the shop it was so smooth when rev'd up. Can't wait!
