Welcome down south and there are a bunch of good fellers on the forum here that live in NC. Just moved from Greensboro. Good luck and are you on the STowners forum by chance?

I have a strict budget of $4k tops...Keep in mind a dealer's advertised priced is the sucker ad..as it is NOT the OTD price....I really do not trust them. Not like the old days anymore... Around here in Raleigh area you cannot even take an unescorted demo ride..its all on a preset route...where you'll ride though business and residential areas where your speed is also contolled..
Gone are the days where the salesman would say here take this for the day...or the weekend...Yrs ago a Honda Mom and Pop shop in NJ did just that i took a 1995 Honda ST1100 for a demo weekend.."just bring it back with a full tank tuesday"..needless to say after a 600 mile weekend i came back tues with a pocket full of cash....
Thanks for the referral nonetheless...

Perhaps a nice '05 with low miles..I've seen a few...

2008 FJR get serial number and call Yamaha Dealer to see if recall has been done. I bought a 2008 FJR with 19,500 miles. Took it to dealer and had recall done (ground recall). My harness was good so they installed an extra ground and bike has run perfect since then. I just changed oil and put on new front tire. Bike has 45,500 miles on it now. Lots of helpful people on this site. Donít be afraid of a 2008.
