Apologies to a forum member Chrisz - in dealing with the spam tsunami I accidentally whacked him on the head, and deleted his posts and banned him Hope it didn't hurt too much, and he should be back soon

They were spam? I assumed they were all the typical engine oil related threads...

To those who are taking care of it, many kudos and efforts appreciated. Lotsa work by the look of it. PITA to say the very least.

The 'senior admin' received a request from the user for review - so he must be a real person Maybe still has a bit to learn, but real nonetheless

I'm a Moderator at ClubTouareg.com, who use the same Tech support and forum format as here.

The process to 'kill off' the spammer/s is actually quite easy. Especially if it is a one user-name attack. Multi user attack takes > < that much longer.

Here for a good time, not a long time.

Everyday.... this is getting old. The only thing I want to know is who has all this extra free time to create all this crap. I need their job. I could do a lot more riding if I had their Job!

My bike styles may change, but I always ride daily! Riding is Life!

Trust me, it's been old for us on the other side trying to keep up with it too. I know it doesn't seem like it but there was a huge reduction in the number of spammers today. Admin is working really hard to plug the holes.

Well, as easy as it may be, it's still minutes off a mod's life just to take care of it, and a few more minutes for each user to deal with it however we deal with it. Add it all up and it's thousands!! Nationwide it's bajillions.
