Another Heads-Up Helmet Design

This came up on my news feed this morning. The possibility to add on to any helmet is intriguing. I'm not convinced a rear facing camera would be as steady as the promo video shows. Bulky looking. Still in pre-production. They are taking orders though.

Anyone on the order list?

^^ this. Exactly what I thought when I read the title, "another rip-off". Seen about a dozen over the last 6 or 8 yrs. No thanks.

Yup, me too. That's why I was hoping some other sucker, uh...... I mean...... person of high intelligence, would get one to review for the rest of us.

The rear camera is too gimmicky for me, but the possible combined GPS and communication module piqued my interest.

Yep, like I said, I'll wait for a shipped - and reviewed product.

As it's only got a 6 month warranty which can be extended by payment - it's an offer I think I can confidently refuse - more chinese tat.

Remember that crowd funding isn't a pre-order; it's a donation with no assurance of a product. After twice (shame on me) I now wait and pay the extra cash for a real product on a dealer's shelf.

I crowd-funded a bicycle seat-post once. I got the product a year-and-a-half after I paid for it. I really like the product and it does exactly what I wanted it to do...but I think I saved $10 by ordering early and taking the risk. I don't think I'll do that again. The link is below.
