Sorry Ed, all I get is a blank page.

I long ago quit trying to INSERT pictures. I use the ATTACHMENT feature.

I'll do that. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to see if that'd work and should have erased the original.

If you have a third party hosting service such as Smugmug, first copy the link to the photo you want to share, then in the thread reply box, you click the picture icon above and paste the Smugmug link in, done, fairly simple. I find actually easier than making attachments... both have their place, whatever works!

I'll look at Smugmug. Thanks.

We have an Amazon Prime account with photo storage, so I just wanted to see if a link could be shared. I didn't really expect it to work, but you don't know 'til you try I pasted the link into the test message then tried to view it from a new incognito window where nothing was logged in. As expected, it didn't work.

There's a small step overlooked that might hang up the newbz.

Do a right-click/view-image first.
THEN copy the URL (of the image instead of the page with the image on it).
If it doesn't end in JPG or GIF (there are more but this is the simple version) then it won't display.

Amazon might work if the folder is set up to share publicly. I would do that with caution and only with a folder that doesn't hold all your stuff.

Ridden wet. Put up hard.

Smugmug test

Well, that appears to have worked I can also see it from a new incognito window.

Thanks Ray.

And thanks for the advice, Mr Bounce. I don't really use any storage service except for the purpose of sharing online.
