And you canít order one on the Internet?

Iím with barnstormer on this. The difference between an OEM and a lesser priced filter is about the cost of two cups of regular coffee at Starbucks.

Sorry that I don't meet your criteria. I'm more of a "do it now" kind of guy rather than an "order a few to have on hand" kind. My local auto parts stores always have on the shelf at least 4 different quality filters that are still innies. I walk in, grab the stuff and change the oil. It's not about about price to me, I never said it was. Its about being in my hand when I want it to be. Whether ordering one "on the Internet" or from a dealership, what's the diff? I'd still be waiting on a trivial part like a filter.

It's a generic part that can be had in numerous ways- there doesn't have to be a "do it my way" mentality about it.

The reason I found they leak....mine was a purolator just 2 months back. The mating surface on the engine is NOT smooth like a car's. It has a machined ripple requiring an o-ring or significant compression of a car oil filter's flat gasket ring . With big enough kahones someone could just use #2000 wet paper and wd40 and smooth it out...

The Purolators and Bosch are shallow, don't allow enough pressure to seat properly. Need the oil filter adapter mod if you are going to use them.

Yammy charges CDN$60 with free delivery to my door next day for their oil change kit which includes filter, oil and gasket. Supposedly Yammy warranties your engine for life as long as you use yamalube...paper warranty at least. Not worth trying to modify my bike to accept aftermarket filters IMHO.

Basically the same prices as 4L of Motul on fortnine.

Yeah. In the US, Magnasun-Moss prevents mfgrs from specing a brand to keep warranties. They can spec a "standard" with oil brand choices up to you or they can provide the spec'd brand for free if required to maintain a warranty.

Ridden wet. Put up hard.
