need 2005 forks!!

had a bike rider jump a curb a couple weeks ago and the car ahead of me stopped but i couldnt. Hit the back of the car at about 35. I need new forks, fender and the upper cowling. Just forks would get me going again. I see them out here on the web for about $1300. Anybody have good used ones? Any idea what years will interchange with the 05? Thanks in advance!!! I need to ride again!

You will have to stick to '03 to '05. Gen1 axle/wheel/caliper combo is different than Gen2/3. This applies to the lower tubes.

If upper tube bent, you have options... Gen1 tubes (don't get the Chinese ones) with original oil lock piece. You can use Gen2 upper tubes with the mating Gen2 oil lock piece. Bushings and seals are common on all Gen1 and Gen2/3A models.

Cheap set, looks like. You may be able to have local suspension shop straighten out minor bends/check runout. I don't know where you are... you don't have location in your profile.

The 03's had the smaller 298mm front rotors, so if you found a set of 03 forks you could re-use your lowers if they are good and just use the 03 upper tubes.
