Motorcycle Larry Customer No-Service

Good Day All,

Love to help a small specialty shop and get really nicely manufactured items made in the USA. These folks have lost sight of what matters; customer satisfaction. In the days of "constant contact" by most sellers, MCL has taken the opposite to heart; no contact whatsoever!

I tried to communicate via e-mail and phone which are listed on the current website. Email returned as undeliverable and answering machine recording finishes by telling you it is off. The patriarch is gone and with it is any business level interaction.

Good bye, Good luck.

Ok, but the website is still up, with a disclaimer that they will "continue in his memory".
Makes it seem like a viable enterprise !
Maybe if you order an item they still have, they will sell it to you !

And it's a shame- I have several of their things and I like them. But life and death come and go.

So, a business your dad made closes the doors with a domain name pre-paid. You gonna spend time tying up that loose end?

Yes the owner "Larry" passed away in 2012 I thought.

Most host sites are annual pay like "Go-Daddy" but that is not why I mentioned the issue. I felt like they were still rolling as the phone is still being answered not just off, and the items for sale have model years well after the death of the main man.

Seems no one is certain if anything is still going through and I am not inclined to provide my CC number to a website with no commuication just to see if it might arrive.

If anyone knows different please let me know, the product looked well designed.

Well, the way i see it, the guy had a great reputation, made good products, and the family now has a fully setup ecommerce business. A valuable, sellable enterprise it would seem !
By not responding to communication, they are doing harm to that reputation that Dad has probably spent a good part of his life earning. That harm spreads on the web like wildfire.

Their website should have a splash page explaining their situation, even if it is to say that they are in Limbo over the whole thing.
