SOLD, Yea!--Gen 2 Corbin Seat

Hello Folks,

Is there a market for a used set of Corbin Seats for a Gen 2?

Orion, my 2006, came with a Corbin leather seat set up. I do not like it! Or maybe I am old.

I currently am using the OEM... better, but... looking...

There are many options, opinions, and butt shapes. I have a Corbin on my ST1100 and as I aged it became more uncomfortable so i added an Air Hawk. On the FJR I could not ride the stock seat for more an hour. I am currently on a not-custom-made-for- me Russell Day Long and it is STILL the most comfortable seat I've ever had on any bike. I read many favorable reports about Seth Laam and others too. Instead of selling the Corbin, I would use those pans and have someone else do a custom build. Granted, good seats ain't cheap but what's the price for comfort over the long haul?

Okay, now don't get me wrong LOL, but this is definitely NOT the way to sell something. Never let them see you sweat and don't say you hate a seat when you're trying to sell it. Okay, enough of the sermon, GLWTS .

And PS> I have a Corbin on my 2008 and like it, no matter what anyone else says.

Wow! I guess that is the first time I've actually seen a set of Corbin seats up close fit to an FJR. I must say , and I don't mean to offend , those are hideous looking. The gaps are cavernous and the design itself looks real busy. I'm sure it's comfy though..

The seats look like they're just set on top of the bike - I don't think they're actually mounted/clipped in like they should be if one were going to go riding. The front saddle, for example, is SUPER high up over the gas tank and side panel on the front edge.

Well, I don't think that's a good representation of the seats and both seats are not installed correctly; the gap is there because it's not hooked in and locked down correctly. The Corbin seat is actually one (if not THE) best looking seat on the FJR in my 'humble' opinion. For support, see the pic from my bike. I know the material is a little different, but the overall look/shape is the same.

Just a suggestion skippy344!, I would clean them up and install it correctly to get the best price for them; they're not cheap and they look great as long as you take care of them. And...don't say you "do not like it!"

Well, I must say they look quite a bit more appealing installed properly and fitted to your FJR. First time I've ever laid eyes on a set. And yea, I agree, The op should definitely clean them up and install properly for the display photos.
