2013 FJR1300 rear/pillion seat

Hi. I purchased my first FJR last week. It's a 2013 ex police bike so has no pillion seat. Does anyone want to swap my rear hump for a seat? Or has one for sale? Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your FJR. Great bike and fantastic forum support.

If you want to outright sell the rear hump (and front seat too, if the standard front seat is different), please send me a pm.

Thanks!

Hi. Firstly I apologise for the slow( snails are faster) response to this post. Rear seat acquired along with standard front, grab handles/ rear rack, rear seat cable release bracket. The police have cut an interesting shaped hole across the three tail pieces for the hump closing bracket and a switch for something. I hate to say it but I have, temporarily, gaffa taped over until I can find replacement tail pieces.
I had to re-route the seat release cable from the front to the original rear seat release with new bracket.
But apart from that a fairly easy job! 🤨
I hope the pictures I attach show some of the work required.
When I find replacement tail pieces I shall post up if anyone want the whole lot to fit the rear hump and comfy front seat.

Three more showing seat release cable and shaped hole cut out of tail pieces. Also almost finished, back to standard, beauty. I'm going to ride her now until tail pieces are acquired.

Hello,
This is the Yamaha OE Professional conversion from factory for the newer FJR Police models. You didnt say if you are from the UK ? the UK models previous had the conversion done using a standard bike by a company in Coventry called Woodway Engineering who converted a standard FJR over to Police spec using their own glassfibre rear box, see picture attached of my bike before I converted her back to civilian spec. Interestingly thay looks like the same single riders seat that they use on their Kawasaki GTR 1400 Police conversion also.
I am just about to list my rear box up for sale as it has a M7 light head fitted on it in red LED.
Keep me updated on the rear box as I might be interested in taking it all off your hands if you are in the UK.
Cheers Scott.

Looks Like Tintern Abbey? If so then the Wye valley area might be his home in the UK.

Hi Scottysnap. Yes I'm in the UK based in the Gloucester area. I have sourced a silver rear end and I'm hoping to get a couple of quotes for a partial/ full respray over the next couple of weeks as my bike is black. Having got back from a week riding around Scotland I can now say how much I'm loving the FJR.

must admit never seen that top box on uk police issue bikes, but thinking as its a black bike it could have been a covert bike (as the hump would carry all comms and video kit and look standard from a distance).

HI Scottysnap, is yours ex BTP bike ?

I've just ridden mine from Cyprus to UK and its now living in East Sussex. just under 3000miles.
