Hi Mihalis

On your recommendations I just bought a set of Koso Apollo grips.

The install instructions are to connect the red/ positive +DC12v to "Key-On" and the black/Ground to the vehicle body.

I guess this would be the "guarantee" that the grips doesn't use up the battery, when the ignition is Off.

But did you just connect the cables to the battery ?

Thanks

Erik

Hi Erik,
I have connected the red and black directly on the battery terminals,Perhaps it is not very good for the health of the battery by an accidental ''on'' in the grips without to run the engine,but...i already did that.

KOSO grips installed

Hi Mihalis - and any other FJR owner, who likes the look of KOSO heated grips

The KOSO grips has arrived from the US, and I asked a bit around to get advice on where to install the red cable. One machanic thought that the 12 volt DC in the "glove compartment" only is powerede at "key on", but that is not the case.

So I ended up at my local Yamaha dealer, where they installed the grips.

I love the looks of it and compared to the old grips, there is space for my thumbs and my hands are much more relaxed, when I drive.

So the KOSO grips - turned on or off - get my warmest recommendations.
