In a group of three, I dont expect that, and I'm not a fan of leaving folks behind and letting them catch up. Still, traffic lights sometimes cause that, so at least you know where the stops are.
I'm looking forward to the day.

post ride report:
breakfast in old town was warm enough for the patio, and that made for a good start. It was good to sit and talk with other FJR riders. No one else appeared at the starting place, but we were all there at 9:00AM just in case.
The skies were alternately threatening and clould speckled, but the weather was cool and perfect for the ride to the first starbucks at Ortega.
Good views there.
Cook's Corner was just busy enough to be interesting, but we didn't stay long.
The group parted, happily, at the Starbucks near Crystal cover where parking places were scarce.
Other rides under consideration.
More later.

Hey Strat Tuner. When I left you I headed south on the Coast Highway and got on to Ortega Highway. At about the halfway point. The traffic came to a dead stop and backed up at least a mile. Nothing was moving and didn't look like it was going to move. Had to turn around back to the 5 south which was very slow moving in itself and cutover to 76 east. Didn't get home til after 4:30. Turned out to be quite the ride.

I made good time getting home. 73-55-5-57-210. Almost no traffic at all.
I thinking we should get together again, if not this coming Saturday, the next.
I would like to meet in Old Town for breakfast again, go through the back door of Pendleton, then head south on 5 towards San Diego. At some point around Carlsbad we jump onto 101 and continue south to N Torrey Pines Rd, then La Jolla Scenic Dr N, then Via Capri up to Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial on top of Mt. Soledad for some great views. Afterwards we can circle through Downtown La Jolla, then south on La Jolla Blvd. Another stop I recommend after that is the intersection of Ticonderoga and Baker street, where the view of Mission Bay is priceless. It's just east of I5, south of Balbo ave. We'll already be close when we get out of La Jolla. We can then head south to the Coronado Bridge, or anywhere else you guys would like to go.

Exactly right. All it takes is a person to plan it. Make it happen! And forget about that "anywhere else you guys would like to go" crap. Plan it, post it and ride it.

Looks like I missed a local ride for me. I have been having too much fun riding to check this forum. I'll keep my eyes on this board for other upcoming rides. I'm in San Diego.
