Fall hoons ride 2019

Hey y'all...hip replacement is behind me and I am back riding. Am itching to blitz the roads of NW AR. I have been in contact with Liquidsilver and these are the dates we are looking at...Fri Sat and Sun...chime in and let us know which dates work best for the most.

Sept. 27, 28, 29
Oct. 4, 5, 6
Oct. 11, 12, 13
Oct. 25, 26, 27

Two tried and true locations, which do you prefer?
Clarksville
Gassville

Come join us for a loosely structured ride through some of the most beautiful, challenging and downright fun roads in the country, Northwest Arkansas. It is at a brisk pace but it is "ride your own ride". The accommodations are modest, the food is uneven, the roads are epic and the after-ride bullshit is legendary. Join in, be a Hoon!

I'm glad you're back on two feet and two wheels, Trainwreck.

Those weekends are all still good for me.

I like Gassville because we can still get to almost all the good stuff and still buy beer across the street. :-)

I'm in TW. Gassville is just peachy with me and any of those dates work. Although the end of October seems awfully close to Novembrrrrr.........

If it has two wheels or a mainsail - I will pilot it.

If any of y'all have not ridden in the Ozarks, it is something that is very special IMHO

So TW........how about the October 11, 12, 13 weekend ? Last time that Liquid and I were there he took me to the North Central Arkansas Speedway and we watched the dirt track races. It was my first time at a dirt track and a real hoot !! I noticed that they are running the Southern Outlaw Late Model Series cars that weekend..........might be some fun extra curricular activity after a day of riding :-)

If it has two wheels or a mainsail - I will pilot it.

I've just lost the Sept. 27 - 29 weekend to a work thing. The other weekends are still good.

Great !!! I'll call the "Best Exotic Gassville Hotel" and make my "Flippin" reservation !!

So far it's Mr. Trainwreck........party of three............and counting.........Y'all don't know what your missing

For all of you trout fishermen (fisher-people????) ......did you know that Gassville is only one mile from the Trout Capital of the USA in Cotter AK !!! Honest....really.......http://www.troutcapitalusa.net/

On a somber.....Buffalo Trace kind of moment.....

IMHO....the "Hoons" ride represents a very important aspect of why we all love this forum. It's about the FJR and in one way or another, how this bike has brought us together as friends. We don't have a formal anything.........but we do have a friendship ..... and beer......and.....

Just and invitaion......

... and Boof, don't hesitate to bring Ann Margaret along if she'd like.

I have no problems with having a select few... makes the riding fun.

Yesterday's weather was so perfect, I blew out of work early and ran a little 400-miler... my local favorites from Richwoods down to Viburnum, down to Ellington, Annapolis and even the stuff around Clearwater Lake and Piedmont.
