RTE: Triad, NC to Charlotte

edit: I'm an idiot! Show up for details!! More routes added below.

Saturday March 30. All are welcome, don't care what you ride or wear.

Meeting at Citgo Station, 112 Heath Church Rd Lexington, NC. It's at the intersection of US 64 and Heath Ch Rd, about a 1/4 mile from I-85 exit 96. A companion rider has limited time so we will leave here at 10:30 am and jet down I-85 to Jake's Good Eats 12721 Albemarle Rd Charlotte. Anticipate being there 11:30-ish.

Based on our companion's time frame, we will either jet back up I-85 or take a more leisurely US 601/NC 49/NC 109 route where he and I will split in Thomasville.

Why Jake's Good Eats you ask? It was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives so we're gonna check it out. https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/vie...lit=diners#p95

I have the BaseCamp routes pictured below if anyone wants them.

I'm debating an IBA ride on Saturday. However, IF I decide not to do that, this sounds like fun. I'll let ya know.
And seeing how ya don't care what I wear, how about these shoes from that image you previously posted?

So far it's just Kim and me but it's all good. I misunderstood one of his texts so add 15 or 20 minutes to the timetable as we'll prolly skip I-85. We really are playing it all by ear, especially on the way back. There's a few places in the Albemarle/Troy/Asheboro area he's not been so....

And really, we don't care what anyone wears so break out the thong, Dood! I think the silky baby blue is the sexiest [hint hint ]. I was thinking of putting the top case on to expand my wardrobe capabilities, at least to carry a lighter jacket for later in the day.

IBA eh? On the Comfort seat? You must be ok with it.

Some added routes, again in BaseCamp, if anyone wants them.

The green is "to", avoiding I-85, mostly random picks from the map. The blue is "from" to include Morrow Mtn State Park, El Dorado Outpost, Pisgah Covered Bridge and Caraway Mtn.

I found I'm able to only do a few hours on it - Last weekend I ran about 2.5 hours straight and it was nearing the end of comfort. I put the airhawk on it and am trying that. So far, that combination has been near perfect. However, one really only knows how that will work on a full out ride.... So while I have the opportunity....

Of course, as life would have it, I may have to do some work in the am, rendering my IBA ride moot. However, moseying around the countryside in 75 degree weather with a stop at a diner doesn't sound like a bad alternative at all...

I'll try to remember to text when we're up by Richfield or Mt Pleasant to give you a better idea of when we'll be there. Kim says he may be a little late meeting up but no worries. I'm free until about 8 pm when I gots me a beer date. My bartender owes me......

Yeah....you're still meeting up at Citgo Station, 112 Heath Church Rd Lexington, NC? Cuz I'd just meet ya up there and then start the ride with ya'll. Probably end it at close to where ya'll will end it as well. I can use the extra miles to really evaluate the seat to offer my "truly unasked for" and "wholly not needed" opinions on it!

Yep, still the meeting place. And you know, I'll have the stock seat on my bike if you wanna trade. Just thinking of your butt!

Comfort. Butt comfort. Nevermind.......

We went, we saw, we ate!

Cool little place, worth the ride over. I ended up with about 180 miles. Not a real long day but long enough segments to know fer sher that this new hip thing is working out great.
