Liquid, thanks for the files! They loaded just fine with some googling on my noobish part

As far as the forecast goes, yeah, it looks like Friday will be fine but rain Saturday afternoon/evening into Sunday morning (if the weather channel can be believed!). Oh and at least 10 degree's cooler than I was planning for but that's not a big deal. Those routes might need some modification I fear...

Looks like winter is giving us one last kick in the balls after two sunny 60 degree days in a rows. Winter storm and blizzard warnings Wednesday afternoon and into Friday so I'm out as well. The silver lining is, I just got invited to ride dirt bike in Moab in two weeks so I do have something to look forward to!

I'm going down Thursday. At least I'll get some riding in.

Since that wet front looks BOTH cold and wet, I may do the unthinkable and just truck the bike down...

See ya gents.

I'll start heading south tomorrow and lay over in Pea Ridge with family. The wind was brutal today, hopefully a little better for tomorrow. I was going to leave at the crack of dawn Friday to try and get to Gassville around 9am but they're calling for a 36 degree start so that probably won't happen. I would guess I'd be in Gassville late morning/noonish on Friday.

Anyone else going? That trailer idea has some merit Liquid. Wish I had one set up for that purpose, lol.

I'll be in Gassville later today. I know that the weather is iffy for Saturday but it's still a good reason for a bike trip . It's been a nice ride so far from home in Knoxville....visited some relatives along the way (and a couple Kentucky bourbon distilleries!!). No rain can compare to the last time we were in Gasville !!!

If it has two wheels or a mainsail - I will pilot it.

I just spent 45 minutes on the highway and I don't have the gear for 75mph running into a 30mph headwind with a cloudy 46 degrees. It would have been great to meet you guys. Call me a wuss...fine. I apologize. When I thaw out, I'll care :P It's not just the way out obviously to consider and that doesn't look any warmer for me either plus some moisture most likely.

Your not kidding about the wind 🙂 It’s pretty brutal out there and something I’ve had a lot of practice at while living in Nevada (past life). Has to be 40-50 gusts so totally understandable. The great thing is that there is always another ride on the horizon !!

Be safe on the way there boofer and hopefully it won't be nasty on your return trip. The wind was more a sucking the heat out of me thing than it was whipping me around. I live in Kansas...the wind blows here..we deal. I need electric gear for this...but who would have thunk it in April?

Maybe we should do this the last weekend in April or the first in May... I think (hope) this year's late "bomb cyclone" was an anomaly and not the norm.

I would add that when I called to cancel my reservation at the Brass Door, the gal was totally understanding and waived the fee for a nights stay since I was under the 48 hour threshold. Super good folks to deal with !!

Back to forum banter...pics or it didn't happen! :P
