Politics are totally off limits for me.. I'm a fan of the current administration, and my GF is a fan of... (anyone else) the guy before this administration, the woman that lost to this administration, really anyone else. So we just don't ever talk politics at all, ever. The closest we get is when the news is on, and one of us changes the channel to avoid the 24x7 news-spin drivel on CNN. No comments, no discussion, just change the channel.

All is packed and ready to leave about 5 am Wednesday morning. Going to plan on arriving in Montrose 6-7 pm Wednesday. Since we are going to do it in a day I am so glad we decided to trailer this year for the first time ever, also it is over 100 degrees here and humidity about 60%, so that makes for a really rough ride across the panhandle of Okla, and the trip home is always double tough. Sounds like we are the only ones not staying at Jellystone. Looking forward Seeing everyone Thursday either for the Gunnison ride or at the Horse Fly

Jellystone had at least one cabin still open yesterday, and I think someone else has cancelled as well. Options....
We're trailering too... with temps like 105 and 107 here, we'll still be leaving town early in the morning to escape the heat, but it's 9 hours of superslab, and we can make much better time in my truck than the 4 of us on 2 bikes.
Truck the long boring freeway part, and ride the fun Colorado parts.

Be safe, and we'll see you there on Thursday evening!!

(watching for an Gossman1 update)

If you're arriving tomorrow night, then I sure do encourage you to join us for the early bird ride to Black Canyon. As a reminder to everyone, I'll be at the entrance to Jellystone around 11:45 a.m. Thursday to meet up with anyone there who wants to ride into town for lunch and then the run to Black Canyon. Hope to see you then.

The wife and I were planning to arrive on Wednesday and stay at the Red Arrow on Wednesday so were could participate in the early ride. Unfortunately, we had a 28 hour flight delay out of Shannon Ireland where we were vacationing and just got back to Colorado Springs. Plan to drive up on Thursday for the regular meeting at the Horsefly. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Right now the weather doesn't look too bad for the local area here. Saturday may be the hit-and-miss day:

Thursday: partly cloudy, 91/63 - 20% chance of rain
Friday: mostly cloudy, 87/58 - 20%
Saturday: scattered t-storms, 72/53 - 60%
Sunday: morning showers, 76/52 - 40%

In Salina UT tonight. Nice ride from Vegas this morning apart from the roadworks on the 15 had me and the bike at boiling point for 5 miles. Could do with a drop of rain to cool down, although the part worn rs3's mightn't agree.

The bikes are loaded up... that freaking 6x9 uhaul trailer is HUGE!!! All our gear will get staged in the garage and go into the truck tomorrow morning as we're leaving. My son Paul and granddaughter Haley fly in from Seattle at midnight, so I'll pick them up and we'll all go straight to bed, up at 5:30 to roll out at 6am. See you all tomorrow evening!!
