A 2014 ride to France any one???

Its been sudgested in the international bit, but thought i may try on here. I am thinking about going and thinking about camping as most of the cash is going towards my wedding. I'm in the Middlands and thought if any of you feel like a cheep holiday with lots of riding. No routes decided yet, so if you have been somewhere nice and want to go again. No booking, be just book the ferry, sit on your bike and ride. Not bothered if you have a 500 banger or a gold plated Goldwing, as long as its got two wheels.
No dates as of yet, but August is out for me.

August going to be hot in France!

Switzerland has lovely mountain passes.

Germany is a paradise for fast access.

I did france and bit of spain in 2007 on my divi 900. Just under 4 weeks over there and 3,000 miles. Would love to do it again but on my new fjr 1300. Normandy beaches. Great time.

I'm off in just under 6 weeks with three mates on our bikes. There'll be me on my FJR, plus one Triumph Tiger, a BMW R1200 RT and one more on a MV Agusta F4. Getting on the train to France then Belgium, Lichtenstein, Germany, Austria then over the Alps into Italy where our wives are flying out to meet us in Lake Garda. Staying here for 3 days http://www.expedia.co.uk/Lake-Garda-...el-Information then they fly home and we ride back. Going to do a few nice high alpine roads including the Grossglockner http://www.grossglockner.at/en/ and probably go home via Monaco and doing the route Napoleon. http://www.ultimatedrives.net/top-10...oute_ID=100009 Can't wait.

FJR in black.
Honda SH300i also in black.
Range Rover Evoque Dynamic Lux. Black.
I see a pattern here!

Sounds like you had a good run once it stopped raining.
Looking to do a run to Germany end of August, let's hope the rain has stopped by then.
