New to forum

Hi all. I just registered on the forum today and wanted to introduce myself. I'm soon to be 55 and purchased a 2015 fjr this month, ES model. I'm coming off a 2004 r6 and so far I really love the fjr. Comfortable, fast, and the wife loves it to. Currently I'm looking into getting some radar warning set up. I've got radar screamer set up on the r6 and it works great so I was looking to do something similar on the fjr. One package I looked at had an optional visual alert which addresses the one problem with my set up on the r6 which is turning the system off during an alert, and then forgetting to turn it back on. Anyway, I would be interested in hearing what others have done. I've gotten so used to having radar warning I've got to get the fjr set up ASAP.

Welcome to the forum, and I'm sure others will radar experience will be along shortly to chastise you for whatever your ideas are (just kidding). Wish I could be of more help, but I've never had a radar setup, and wouldn't know where to begin.

Great bike though, and welcome to the fun. Great group of people here.

Hey, thanks for the welcome Bill. No, I don't really have anything too nefarious in mind for my new fjr. I just like to have that extra awareness that a radar detector can provide. If it goes off on my r6, the first thing I do is check my speed and adjust if necessary.

Welcome and you gotta love an FJR. I love mine so much I would ride it around inside the house if my wife would let me.
