Cool I am Loquacious today.... Sorry.....

So, I have this thing that I used post on my work/internal social media page, from to time.

It is a "commute soundtrack" that I used to post when I used to drive to work.

Well, now I am 100% telework, but still have music going in the background all the time while "I am at work."

So, in honor of my previous practice, I am posting today's "commute soundtrack":

Steely Dan - Aja
Alan Parson's Project - Turn Of A Friendly Card.
Boston - Boston

Yeah, I am old, don't judge me! LOL

My music taste is quite varied, but today, I was just feeling my youth!

I would like it if you all did the same thing; post your soundtrack, so we all could enjoy!

Rock on! \m/ \m/

Good choices.

Now try Phish, "Lawn Boy" album. If only one song then "Bathtub Gin". Or "Scent of a Mule" from the Hoist album.

Very Good!

Yeah, that dang song ear-wormed me last week.... couldn't shake, it, so I had to pull the album and add it to the soundtrack this week!

Yeah, I am not a big Country Music fan...

Now, having said that... I live in Texas, so over time, you HAVE to start not wincing while eating in a BBQ joint in Johnson City while country music blasts in the background!

Truth to tell, I am OK with Texas Country, which is a somewhat departure genre from mainstream Country.

Los Lonely Boys, Lyle Lovett, etc...

But like riding, if you are on 2 wheels, I am OK with you!

Music is music, so I am down.

I've been doing the same on social media. Each day has a list of links to the youtube of each song played while catching up on email, etc.

My earworm for the last week was triggered by the background music playing in the opening episode of the final season of Archer.

Nice choices, Skippy. A little Pro Rockish but then I just snagged a 4 CD "best of" remaster of ELP. "Welcome back my friend..." [anything's better than country]

Nice selection!!

ELP!!! Oh yeah!! My older sister said I was born 9 years too late, as I am a big fan of the music from her time.

All that late '60s early '70 vibe, sticks to me like glue!

She did introduced me to R&B, from that era, and I also glommed onto the psychedelic, prog, and "classic" rock of that era as well.

Music is life... riding is life... It is a charmed life!

Rock and Ride On!

The Strypes are a new(ish) group and their talent for as young as they are is enviable. They only "sound" like a blast from the past because they don't over process their stuff. I really flashed on them when I first heard them.

And it's true, our music WAS better than the emo-rock they do now. Outside of mainstream top 40 pop and warmed-over Radiohead, there are some really great newer bands but it's because they sat at the knee of some old timers somewhere and cut their teeth on the blues.

I'll jump in and agree that I have to have music playing just about all the time. Even in the background is fine as it somehow makes me more productive. My tastes vary as well - basically anything except rap or death metal/screamo stuff. I usually lean toward more instrumental stuff like Joe Satriani, Buckethead, Tony MacAlpine, etc..., but there will always be Iron Maiden & Rush somewhere in the mix. Lately some jazz stuff like Victor Wooten or Marcus Miller have tickled my fancy. Wherever good musicians play, I'll listen to it.

And yes, I had to look up the meaning of loquacious
