If it happens around a particular RPM range, do a search for TPS Throttle Position Sensor on this forum and see if the symptoms described match up with what you are experiencing.

Assuming that you purchased this bike recently, it's quite possible that it is due for some simple maintenance.
I suggest you replace the spark plugs, air filter, and get some fresh fuel in the tank (perhaps using some Sea Foam in case its contaminated).

Stay on top of general PM maintenance - valve adjustments, throttle body syncs, air cleaner, spark plugs. If that's all done, I'd run "Sea Foam" fuel injector cleaner through several tanks of gas. Try using 1/2 bottle per tank. I use it every 3rd tank of gas or so and never had any carb/fuel injector problems in my 57-years of riding.
