Got the No Cruze Bluz

On the 4-lane this morning, doing about '70 on my '13A and hit the cruise on button and got only a blinking orange cruise symbol on the dash. Anyone know the issue right off? Thanks, JD

Make sure your brake switch(s) are functioning properly. Sticking ones will keep you from engaging the cruise.

There is one on the clutch lever too.

Front brake, rear brake and clutch all have normally closed switches that will prevent or disconnect the cruze control.

bike X miles=smiles
smiles ÷ bike=miles
smiles ÷ miles=bike.
It's simple math.

In addition to above, remove wheel sensors and clean any aluminum dust corrosion off them and the hole they go in, smear on a little silicone grease. Go into the diagnostics screen and see if there are any related codes.

Thanks all for the tips. I just removed/replaced rear wheel (first time for me) and hope I didn't screw something up. Bike seems to be functioning perfectly, except for the cruise.

The wheel sensor is delicate. Striking, dropping, or getting a magnetized tool like a screwdriver next to it can cause it to cease functioning.

But so can a few particles of metal. Hopefully the simple fix Ray suggested is the one you need.

I went back out and tried it again and it came on. Went for a ride and the cruise is working again. Guess it is like other computers, if it hangs up, shut it down and restart. Thanks again for the tips and suggestions.

Yes an ignition cycle can reset things, but you should go into DiAG and check for codes to see what may have caused it, e.g., wheel sensor codes.

Agree with RaYzer here, don't presume everything is fine or you may be missing something more important. Better to check before it comes back to bite again.
