We have a couple at work, very helpful and fun. The USB connection is particularly useful.

Zwartie,

Almost as good as Geordie's visor on ST:TNG (!)

Lots of "invisible" problems might fall to infrared imaging. One railroad was using IR imaging to spot any hot wheel bearings on railroad cars, switching those cars out before they caused a derailment.

There is a whole new world out there, just beyond our limits of vision.
.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

Interesting on the tire temps as they are almost identical to what I see on my TPMS.

Many, many thanks for your reply. My mind is at ease now! Interestingly, my two previous bikes before my FJR were both Generation II V-Max bikes. The rear hub on The Generation II V-Max lookes IDENTICAL to The rear hub on the Generation II FJR. I'll bet they are. And I'll bet that the rear hub on the V-Max heats up just like the rear hub on the FJR. Makes sense. Anyway, thanks again for your reply. Next time I see you in McDonalds, You meal will be on me!
