I miss the massive power "right now" it has when I ride my Bandit 1250 and SV1000.
The truth is that I would not have kept the bike no matter how it ran. 31,000 miles in two years was the most I would have put on it.

I don't miss the "right now" power because believe it or not, the 1000SX feels just as fast and responsive, especially in midrange. I know the SD GT technically has significantly more torque, and weighs pretty close the the same, but the 1000SX is very impressive.

My riding buddy still has a Superduke R, and he just traded his H2 SX for a 1000SX the other day. He and I ride all the time and have for 15 years, but we almost never do side by side roll ons. But I may have to ask him to with his SDR. It would be interesting. I think his will be faster, but just don't think it will be a big difference. But I also know that seat of the pants can be deceptive.

Doing roll ons with my SDGT and a friends S1000RR proved them to be pretty even up to serious triple digits then he pulled ahead. Not sure if it was aerodynamics or power or me involuntary backing off. At some point it simply doesn’t matter anymore.

I wish I could test drive the new 1000SX. My friend had a ‘14 or ‘15 and I really liked the bike, just not enough to own it. It sounds like the changes might just put it on the own list. Have not heard a negative word yet other than insurance costs but while Multistrada aren’t as expensive they’re not cheap to insure either.
