Yepper, I think it’s changed a bunch in the past years, back a hundred years or so ago it was more confrontational but really not these days, I’ve found the friendliest people on my rides to n-hampshire (1000mi) have mostly been on Harley’s, at rest stops they almost always come up and talk and are usually the people that wave, the biggest a-holes who never want to talk or wave are usually on a Goldwing or a new indian. And then there’s the anti-Harley a-holes that have preconceived ideas & notions that just aren’t valid anymore.
Now all that said I’ll add that there is a couple of Harley focus’d bike groups here in the area that I truly avoid, very radical & very violent just looking for a reason to confront. But quite frankly the ****’s Angels local chapter ain’t one of those. Even though I realize that they are into a lot of illegal stuff most of those guy’s are pretty mellow & just seem to enjoy bikes. Opinions & tastes are why we have so many choices on this sport/life style, part of why it took me so long to decide on a fjr back when I bought my 14a, just lot’s of great bikes out there to satisfy your wants & desires. Now go take that bike (whatever it is) for a ride, get your smile on !
Red 2014A, the fastest color !
Ride more,, worry less !
