Ads ruining this site

The ads are making this site unusable. Is there anything that can be done about it?

I'm not getting any advertisement, except at the bottom "Motorcycle.com" logo. Maybe you're computer is infected and has nothing to do with this site.

What ads??

Use an ad blocker like 1Blocker.
Has been working well for me.

There are two ads at the top, there are ads between posts, the whole right side is filled with flashy ads, and there is some kind of floating video ad in the way.

Crap, I just scrolled down and saw the full blown 2x4 ad matrix before finding the reply box. Total SS.

BTW, anyone know of an ad blocker that won't get flagged by sites that won't let you view with an ad blocker? IOW, how do I block the ad-blocking pop-up?

When I use Firefox I'm getting lots of ads, with Microsoft Edge N Google Chrome not getting any advertisements. Try different browsers to see if it makes a difference.

Firefox here, no ads... check the status of your membership, as I recall there were different levels of participation. Free membership gets you ads, paying a bit reduces or gets rid of them. Typical of many commercial forums......

Instead of just an ad blocker, try and HTML firewall. What's the difference? You can fine tune the firewall to let in all, none, or select pages (and content). Also, some ad blockers were reported to be selling access to their customer base to advertisers wanting to get around them.

With that in mind, try uBlock Origins for your browser. If you're on a phone, then that's your own fault.

That, Firefox with its leading privacy features, and having a Pi-Hole on my home network all work together to minimize such cruft. Will you sometimes get a prompt to allow cookie? Sure but often that's just an ignore it or click past it type situation and not universal.
