Why is it that I read that like the "scared to go into the water" comments after Jaws? I've never quite understood that reaction to fictional movies.

Ridden wet. Put up hard.

I generally put my phone in Airplane Mode when I ride so I don't consume power as the phone attempts to connect to changing cell phone towers and various WiFi points. When I stop for food I will reconnect and check (maybe). Besides, when in bear country, you may also be in a phone dead zone.

Of course this may be a generational thing as I don't see it as important (or even good) to be on a phone leash. Many times I leave home without the phone as I grew up when there were only land lines.

Damir, Great pics and story! I'm trying to find Sheep Falls PP on Google Maps … is it just west of Turner Valley?

Ha Ha, yes I agree, and also "no stopping when in bear country, especially around lunch time and during Sep,Oct,Nov months, when they are trying to pack some fat before winter hibernation"
