Kawasaki ZRX1100/1200 owners

I think I have seen 10 or so guys from the ZRXOA over here that now have FJR's. Most of them I have met in person and rode with on numerous occasions. The guy I got my current FJR from has had a few ZRX's over the years. In fact, I traded a very nice black ZRX1100 to him for the FJR.

Just funny how that is.

Current bikes in the barn...

Now see, I have a ZRX but that's because I've been a Kawasaki guy since '77 when I stumbled into a brand-new KZ650 ($1760 out the door!) that upended my motorcycling mind by running perfectly and unstoppably for 80,000 miles. Something close to half my motorcycling has been done on K-bikes.
The reason I got into an FJR is that I was ready to get rid of my GL1800 now that the Boss has her own bike and doesn't ride on the back of mine anymore (excepting downtown Chicago escapades), and my Honda dealer had just taken in this FJR in trade. So, I traded my Wing for it.
I will also mention I had an '85 FJ1100 that was really good. Bought it in a distress sale for cheap and put 44,000 on it with very little trouble apart from the weirdo tire thing. But by then I wasn't so interested in air-cooled motors any more. However, it might have set the stage for the FJR years later, I guess.
Coincidence? I think so.

2006 GSX-R600, mixed ownership

(Recently departed) GPZ/ZX1100E, best bike I ever had.
And some others over the course of the decades.

All ill Say is that I looked hard at ZRXs since they've come out & a Eddie Lawson green zrx1200 is still on the list at some point.

I have had 4 ZRX's but still have the only one that I bought new which is a 2001 1200. I grew up on Kawasaki triples as a youngster then on to the 4 stroke Kaws. This is my 1st Yamadog and cannot complain about it.

I had 2 ZRX's, a black '01 & a blue '03, and loved them both- great interpretations of the UJM. They're just part of my moto-history at this point & I've moved on. If I had the space time, perhaps another could fit in the garage but probably not. Methinks a Z900RS would slot in right nicely though.
