Id love to make a donation & Ill also drop a line to the email address above, but is there a physical address for one to send a check to instead of doing an online credit card transaction through PayPal?

Thx.,

Don't hope too much. When Bike Johnny closed it's doors, the forum's days were numbered.
Well, I kind of like to hope too much if it is okay with everyone

No, I am not some kind of dude with my head in the clouds (literally yes, figuratively speaking no). You know the best thing about this board that I love ?? IMHO it is about the friendships that have been built and the fun we have sharing that with everyone. We were doing it before facebook, before twitter and before Ipods. This board is one of my favorite dysfunctional places

Somehow I think our little FJR "band of brothers" board will be just fine.

I put my two cents into the coffer..........

If it has two wheels or a mainsail - I will pilot it.

donation and site feedback

Hello, regarding donations, I supported the St-owners.com forum when I was an avid ST1300 rider. Well, another year of support from me finally ran out and I received a friendly reminder, which in turn, made me think about this site. I tried to find a donation link here but after some hunting, I couldn't seem to find it. I used the link at the top of this thread, thinking it would lead me right to it but it took me to the main forum page. I did a word search on "donation" and came up with no hits. I'll eventually find it but I wanted to post here with some friendly feedback while it's fresh. St-owners.com site does a lot of things right, not that this site doesn't, just that Mellow, the site admin, really utilizes the forum tools that support a really good user experience. This forum and the ST forum appear to use the same forum framework/structure. I would guess a lot of their implementations could be taken advantage of here too. For instance, the way donations work. Even the user's badging changes just a little when a donation is made; the text for the username and in the avatar area, turn red, and included a small line reading, "Site supporter". Just that little thing, subtly reminds us that the site is supported by its members. I always took a little pride with my membership support and getting the badge-change brings awareness to the support cause. Just some friendly feedback. I went way off track here but I definitely recommend a visit and a little stay over at st-owners.com, take a look around--see the differences, see the similarities. They do have a great group of members, huge community, and I'll mention the high respect of the FJR troughout.

This thread came from 2010 when the site was owned by an individual.

Now, you support the site when you see ads on the screen, and sometimes in the forum threads.
