I shouldn't say this as its going to cause a debate, But oil does affect the clunk. I used rottella for lots of oil changes but I needed a oil change and it wasn't on sale so for a little more I got motul 7100 on sale. There is enough difference that I didn't go back....believe me I wanted there to be no difference between the two BUT.

Continuing this thread as an ongoing but sporadic gallery of my bike...

Last Sunday was the first ride of the new season/year! I don't usually ride bagless, but for whatever reason chose to do this time. Btw, if you look closely, you can see the new Cobra heat shield that I put on the exposed left pipe.

FJRChuck and Bob Collings like this.

Pictured with an admittedly odd statue honoring a cow that in 1920 obliterated the world record for milk production by a single cow.

EDIT: I have no idea why all my pictures in this thread are gone. When I hit 'Edit', I can still see the postimg.org link for the photos in all my posts, so don't know why they're not displaying as they should. Looks like I may need to look for yet another photo-hosting site.

Since I just can't seem to get photos to work at this site, I'll post this URL to my latest Instagram photo:

Still a '16, still a beauty, still running great.

Just read through this post for the first time and I cannot see any pictures. The link you provide works and that is a really nice shade of blue. I could be tempted if they ever bring that out again in the UK (I did have a 2006 blue and silver model).

I have a brown 2013 model, with orange flecking. Is that what people are referring to as burnt orange?

I don't pretend to know Yamaha's reasoning not giving Europe the blue for Gen3. The '13 here was a unique sandy greenish tan, and your '13 is Magnetic Bronze in EU (for more than one model year, and called Metallic Brown in Canada for '14 non-ES only. I call it root beer, and of course, it's the fastest colour. The blue ones can keep up, but the red ones just..... well.... slow.

Thanks, yes, it’s a great blue, I’m really pleased with the shade. The photos: Yeah, I have no idea why the postimage and tinypic hosting site links stopped working...they all displayed when originally posted. I’ve given up trying to figure out why and how to make hosted pics work here, so will have to just post the occasional Instagram link, unfortunately.
