Try a roll on with a KTM superduke GT and then you may laugh as I did at how bad we loose. My buddy on the KTM thought I didn't even try.

Is the Super Duke geared lower? I'd like to see a top-gear roll on between a Gen III 5-speed and a 6-speed.

Just keepin' up with traffic, Officer.

Almost certainly; I just wonder how much the taller high gear affects the high-gear roll on.

The Superduke GT is over 170HP. I test drove it and was very happy. It feels like a SS in handling of weight compared to the FJR. With ethe newer models of FJR1300's being geared away from the sportier side in looks and weight my next bike very well could be the KTM suderduke GT. Just the other week I was looking at the 2017 FJR1300 at bike show and couldn't get over how wide that front end is compared to my 05.

I knew they were strong, but I didn't know that were THAT strong.

Considering the fact the engine puts out the same power at specific rpms. Gear is the power multiplier. So the engine with taller gears will have less effective power at the same RPM.

Sure. I just wonder how dramatic the difference is. But it's no big deal. Just me wondering.
