R.I.P......so very sad for the fiancÚ and the family. After following GP Racing for soooo many years, you can always find yourself screaming just a little louder when a fellow American is doing well in a race/series.

I had lost track (shortage of time) of the happenings in World Superbike.....until Nicky transferred over. Then, I would always check up on him and cheer where ya could.

Life is short.............I hope he's with the Lord.

RIP Champ.

Never run out of ideas, traction, and real estate at the same time.

I have tried to write something profound about Nicky's untimely passing but words cannot express my sorrow. He and his family are very close and their suffering must immeasurable. Godspeed Nicky!

Not much to say. It is strange how different tragedies touch you. I never met him but have followed the "Kentucky Kid's" racing career. Just a sad day. The last time I felt this bad about somebody that I didn't know dying was when the helicopter crashed and I heard Stevie Ray had died. Could not stop thinking about it for a few days. Just totally unfair. R.I.P. Nicky , thinking of you and your family.

Remember the time Nicky was in rehab?

Remember the time Nicky was involved with drugs?

Remember the time Nicky was involved in that domestic abuse incident?

Remember the time Nicky was caught cheating?

Remember the time Nicky was caught saying disparaging things about the USA?

Remember the time Nicky was badmouthing other racers?

Remember the time Nicky was throwing temper tantrums because things didn't go his way in a particular race?

Remember the time Nicky was disrespecting law enforcement?

Remember the time Nicky embarrassed himself and the rest of his family by acting like a complete idiot/*******?

Remember the time Nicky acted like a pompous, self absorbed douche?

..........yeah, me neither. There are racers with more wins, titles, championships, etc. than Nicky, but I doubt you'll ever find one with more grace, class, honesty and all around 'good guy' qualities.

When I was a track-a-holic on my R1 & R6, I used to think that the FJR was an old man's bike. Then I got one and absolutely love it. Hey...wait a minute!

I have met Nicky and his family many times over the years. He was always very decent and friendly, even when he was in a rush. I cannot imagine how they are feeling. So sad and a bit ironic. Best wishes and prayers go out to all his friends and family. Godspeed Champ. You are sorely missed.
