Have you considered 25,000 km is approximately 15,000 miles? Could that possibly have anything to do with it?
Australian roads are measured in km.
And, as wave 1 PdP owners learned straight from Yamaha Corp, the service intervals are often a function of climate and access to long, fast days. Not often in the europe where you can run over 80 and stop only for gas all day long in 100º (+) temps.
Cypress told an early owner (who shared it on the forums of the day) that Yam's ruling on "high speed runs" was "anything 80+" so their stricter maint schedule was appropriate. Yep, we were all pretty taken aback with that corp stance (80).
Ridden wet. Put up hard.
