Oem rear shock uk refurb

Just had my OEM rear shock refurbed by http://www.allbikeengineering.co.uk/

£110 which included VAT and redelivery - so for those who are "satisfied" (Some will be - some won't ) - with the OEM shock - its an option.

I asked :-
Are you happy for me to mention your service to other FJR owners?
Of so what exactly do you do to the shocker? Can you increase the 'pressure' to compensate for the ‘Larger’ rider?
They replied :-
Hi by all means spread the word, most of the time a standard rebuild of oil seal and gas makes the shock much better, we can supply springs for the heavier rider but can discuss individual needs.
Once the shock has the gas nipple attached we can also just service a shock, say every 20k miles for £60

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

For those of us who don't like the fastners rusting Theres a company in southampton that do marine grade SS not the cheapest I would fancy but the gear seems good and you should only have to replace them once -
