Will 2011 mufflers fit on A 2004 bike?

The mufflers are inter-changeable on all model years of the FJR. But that does not mean that they are identical. All FJR's have catalytic converters in the output pipes of the collector box, but some models have additional cats in the input pipes of the mufflers.

FJR Models owned from new, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2014.

I thought Gen 2 went with a longer (swing arm?) which put the mounting bosses of the cans at a different place than Gen 1. Am I mis-remembering?

Gen 2/3 do have a longer swing arm, but I don't think that affects the muffler mounts. The mufflers are not mounted to the swing arm.

The mufflers are not mounted to the swingarm..... and the various FJR cans are interchangeable.

Poorly worded on my part. I didn't mean they were mounted to the swing arm, just that the lengthening moved the mount location based on my recollection of conversations when Gen2 came out.

Thanks for the clarification.
