You might want to check with the Admins about their piracy rules. I'm not sure what they are here.

If he bough the PDF with his own money, and lend it to his FJR friends, it shouldn't be considered as piracy...isn't that what happened hipi111 (Sven) ?

p.s. when you open the pdf and click on "details", it says it belongs to "Sven" and it says clearly: anybody with the link "can view" and "viewers can download"

What someone adds to a document after pirating it is irrelevant. Does Yamaha offer the product to consumers too or just dealerships? It's their intellectual property. It's their (C). It's doesn't matter if he spent his own money to buy it from someone who sold it to customers without Yamaha's permission.

I'll happily change my stance if someone can come up with an official Yamaha communique that shows they sell the product to consumers. Meanwhile, people seem disenchanted with the changes to this forum after it was bought and commercialized. Maybe the members really don't care if it gets nailed for something like this. Or maybe the commercial backers don't care. I'm not privy to their thoughts, so perhaps something official from them?

Bottom line is that what you do when no one is looking.
