All pending US orders were shipped today, and inventory numbers will be updated on the order site.

If you have a '16 or newer, to avoid a dealer visit to access diagnostic codes, you should have one of these and an OBD reader in your arsenal...... several available for ordering (see post 1).

Just for info if it helps anyone, I used one of these plugged into one of your OBD adapters... Autel AutoLink AL319 Universal OBD2 Reader and worked perfect no bluetooth or wifi needed.

Rob.

A number of scanners give basic info, but I admit I'd like to know more about higher end scanners. It is possible with some to do data logging and get more detailed information. If anybody's a whiz with OBD or has experience with good scanners, or a better app than Torque Pro, that would be great.

UPdate, I have been informed the following Yamahas use this same OBD adapter harness:
2015 R1, 2016 and up models of R6, MT-10, FZ-10, MT-09, MT-900, FZ09, MT-07, XSR-700, XSR-900. If you have one of these, check under the seat for the 4-way harness connector that should have a protective cap on it.

To all forum peeps needing an OBD Harness..... as of today, there is no more stock on the ordering link, nor will there be. If you need one, do a search on ebay for Yamaha OBD and you can likely get one for ~U$20 to your door.
Meanwhile, I do have a very small handful of components left if a Canadian needs one but count that on one hand.
All of the info you need is in the first post, including the instruction sheets, you can use any of the OBD readers I suggested, and the Torque Pro App ($5 paid version, not the Lite version).
Note you can use these to service any later Yamahas with OBD as listed above.

Appreciate the support, a coupla dollars went to support FJRiders website operating costs, but it was one of those labour of love projects I had fun with, unfortunately it's run its course. Thanks to all who purchased one.....
The ABS harnesses will still be available although supplies are running short due to Covid... working on topping that up.

Update, there are now several ebay listings that include many from China. There is a veteran in Texas producing them, and if you ebay search "Yamaha OBD2 4 pin cable" it should lead you to his listing. Price as of today is U$13.49

I bought one apparently from another vendor in the USA. Was seriously considering using alligator clips to splice my DashDaq OBD-II tool to Yamaha's connector but $13 was too inexpensive to go to that effort. Then again I have been looking at a CEL since February when I used the engine to spin the rear wheel on centerstand in 1st gear.
