Did the Audiovox CCS100 (cheap and worked well) on my 04 FJR and the McCruise (very expensive but pro job) on my 07 AS FJR - would love to try this on my current backup 08 FJR AE.

Must look into it more, thanks

Because they changed their software, everything old was migrated to the new software...... those links sometimes have forum.com/forum/topic/12345 formatting..... edit out the word 'forum/' after the domain name works 99% of the time. Russ's link above doesn't contain it, so it works.

Thank you so much for sharing how you did your install. It is hard to believe we purchase Sport TOURING bikes and they lack cruise control for touring. I sure miss CC every time I do a roar trip. I will remedy this though. Thank again.

Is this the Cruise Control you purchased?
Rostra 250-1223 Universal Electronic Cruise Control

Is this the keypad you used?

This looks like a easier install then the vacuum Audiovox and dealing with mounting the vacuum servo motor on a Gen II AE and messing with the vacuum lines etc. The previous owner of my AE had a used one he had on two Gen I. We/He never could get it to work so after a week I took the bike home disappointed.

I was told the Audiovox CC switch was not really water proff?

The Rostra looks like it will be easier to install, thanks for the install info/pics..
Winter project for sure my arthritis in my hands forced me to go with the AE so I need a CC for long trips. My throttle lock is a huge help but CC is my next mod.

The switches (either Rostra or Audiovox) are really the same thing and not waterproof. Seal them with RTV. Over time (a coupla years), may have to remove the cover and clean the carbon contacts.
