EMGO OEM Replacement Mirrors?

My left mirror cracked at the rotating base after whacking it with my DR650 in the garage. Didn't hit it too hard at all. After 10 years, I think the plastic was pretty brittle anyway. I would rather not spend the $100 on a new OEM from Yamaha if these actually work OK for 1/4 the price. Having the carbon fiber look would be nice as well since I already have it elsewhere on the bike. Anybody try these things yet?

I have a set of Emgo mirrors with longer stalks to get a good view behind me.
They seem to be OK but certainly not of the quality of the OEMs.
I will have to see how they work out in the long term.
Kept the OEMs as well.

What you really want is the EMGO's for 2001-2005 FZ1... longer stalks, can actually see behind you..... ebay... should be able to find them for under $30. Look very similar to what you posted from bikebandit only longer stalks I'd think...

PS, their carbon fiber ones are cheap lookin' carbon....
EMGO for FZ1 ... RH = 20-80511 and LH = 20-80512 in black.

Note, peel back rubber and lightly lube the pivot... these will fold up in a tipover and hopefully will not break your Gen3 mirror stay like the OEM's will. Also no blind spot mirrors really needed.

If you do any riding at night like I do do NOT get the FZ style mirrors. It's nice having my elbows block headlights behind me.

I bought the Emgo fz1 mirror’s,,,,,,, twice, initially the carbon fiber piece’s and as Ray said they just looked cheap, I still have them but I bought another set of the just flat black plastic fz1’s and they are pretty good, took a bit to get used to the “bug” look they gave the bike but I like them. And as Ray also said lightlylube and adjust the pivots and they’ll work fine.

Now as Russ say’s if you’re bothered by the lights behind you then these ain’t for you, but I prefer being able to see more than my shoulders & elbows in the mirrors, your choice though. Now if you still want a set of those cheap carbon fiber look mirrors drop a pm to me and maybe we can get together.
